Title:  Contact Center Phone Representative

Department(s):  Hospitality, Marketing, and Support

Reports to:  Leadership Team

Job Summary:  Hotel Reservations, scheduling appointments, client support. We are looking for a Phone Representative that will be the liaison between our company and its current and potential customers. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively manipulating customer inquiries, complaints and issues, keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.

VMS is a 24/7/365 Contact Center, in order to make sure there is adequate phone coverage, working Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays is a required.

Minimum Requirements:  6 months Customer Service/Contact Center experience.

Abilities Required:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and have good finger/wrist dexterity.

Contact Center Phone Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage large amounts of inbound calls in a timely manner
  • Follow scripts and procedures
  • Identify callers needs in order to book the best accommodations
  • Seize opportunities to upsell and turn around cancellations
  • Engage callers by going the extra mile
  • Learn the ins & outs of multiple CRM’s
  • Meet personal/team goals
  • Assist in other duties as needed.

Contact Center Phone Representative Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong phone, verbal communication, and active listening skills
  • Basic computer skills, data entry and attention to detail
  • Initiative, motivation and time management
  • Focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • Product Knowledge and team work
  • Experience with Outlook email and Excel

Expectations: We are a 24/7/365 operation, we never close. Due to client needs, we need to assure adequate coverage based on call volumes. We expect our agents to have a great work ethic, be dedicated, show up on time, be flexible with scheduling, take initiative to learn the ins & outs of our systems, and clients requirements. This is not just a “job”, it is a career!
